Music That Matters: A Queen Symphony for War Child

What happens when two orchestras and a 250-person choir come together? A truly unique performance of Tolga Kashif’s legendary Queen Symphony, a crowd singing along to the greatest Queen hits and €30,000 euros raised for War Child!

From Bohemian Rhapsody to We Will Rock You, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, Queen’s timeless melodies echoed through the World Forum Theatre in The Hague. These special concerts brought together hundreds of musicians from the Valerius Student Symphony Orchestra, Bataafs Symphony Orchestra, Prestige Vocal Groups, Prestige Pro, and the Residents City Orchestra, creating an unforgettable musical experience.

Most importantly, the two benefit concerts raised valuable donations for War Child, an organization whose mission is to support children affected by war and conflict. It was a powerful reminder that, even in turbulent times, music can unite, inspire, and protect.

Thank you to our conductor, Arne Visser, for his dedication to the project. Thank you to the board members for all the behind-the-scenes efforts that made this grand collaboration possible.

Finally, as always, thank you to all the musicians whose work, practice and time enabled these concerts to take place and continue to make the Valerius community a welcoming place.
